Simple Rides

Privacy Policy

Simple Rides is a local-first Android app that uses device location to record and calculate bicycle rides. It does not require an account.

Location and ride data

When you start ride recording, Simple Rides uses Android location/GPS access to measure and record the ride. The resulting ride history and location data stay in the app on your device. Version 1 does not depend on a cloud route map or a Wild Onion Labs cloud account.

You can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings. Ride recording cannot work without location access, but previously saved local history remains available.

Data sharing and advertising

Simple Rides has no advertising and does not sell location or personal data. Wild Onion Labs does not provide app data to third-party marketers.

Analytics

Simple Rides does not use Wild Onion Labs analytics or marketing trackers.

Storage, Android backup, and deletion

Ride data is stored locally on your device. Normal Android backup or device-transfer features may copy app data when those features are enabled; that processing is provided by Android or the device platform under your account and device settings. You can delete rides in the app or remove the app and its local data through Android settings.

Beta requests and support

If you request beta access, Wild Onion Labs separately processes the email address, optional name, requested app, consent record, and confirmation status needed to administer that request. See the Wild Onion Labs website privacy notice.
